lian kou wan 敛口碗 bowl with an inward-turning mouth rim. This bowl was made in many dynasties. Those from the Sui dynasty have tall sides and a cake-like base. Those made in the Yuan dynastty have a deep belly and a small footring. The most exquisite were produced during the Yongle and Xuande reigns of the Ming dynasty, which were copied in the Qing dynasty.
